Voile Womens Switchback

The Womens Switchbacks from Voile USA are bindings designed for telemark and Nordic Backcountry ski. They are aimed at the skier looking to have fun on the descent with wide backcountry skis.

Unlike the other Voilé USA models, these bindings do not have a 3-Pin: they have a very large one-piece stainless steel yoke at the front. They also consist of two adjustable cartridges that connect with the rear of the shoe while leaving the heel free, both uphill and downhill. In practice, these cartridges offer excellent lateral support and allow better control of the skis: this system has been proven for over years in the world of telemark.

The Voilé Switchback have two modes: "tour" for the flat and the ascent and "ski" for the descent. The mechanism for switching from one to the other is very simple: just turn the lever on the front of the binding left or right.

The Voilé Switchbacks are mounted on a 25mm riser plate, which optimizes telemark performance and avoids “rubbing” the bindings on the snow during sharp turns. They are also equipped with two climbing blocks (65 and 80 mm) to facilitate ascents when the slope becomes too steep.

The Voilé Switchback are bindings that remain light and consistent with a descent oriented practice of the SRN. Model dedicated to women or smaller sizes.
