Exped's Mountain Pro 40 is a backpack designed for skiing and mountaineering. It features a variety of equipment attachment options. In particular, you can carry a pair of skis diagonally, sideways or underneath, using the 4 removable straps supplied. There's also space for a shovel and probe.
In terms of carrying comfort, the interior features a full-height polymer foam pad, in addition to the external foam squares, to ensure comfort and stability. Its slim profile and compactness ensure a snug fit. Its 420D Oxford nylon fabric is tough enough to resist abrasion.
Its roll-up closure and heat-sealed seams protect the interior from water infiltration. Even its two small side pockets have waterproof zippers. It's weather-resistant, with a waterproof rating of 3000 millimeters.
The Mountain Pro 40 backpack features a large 40-liter volume with a wide opening for easy access, and a roll-up closure. The flap features two zipped pockets, one inside, one outside. A card holder is supplied and can be zipped inside.
By removing the various removable parts, the weight of the backpack can be reduced to 990 grams.
