The opinion of Aventure Nordique
Pajk's Quest Bear Junior is the brand's warmest sleeping bag for children. It uses the same careful construction as the adult sleeping bags, only the size differs. The gusset system allows the sleeping bag to grow with the child, increasing its internal size as the child's grows. The Quest Bear Junior is designed for children between 100 and 150 centimetres.
The Z-shaped construction and 320 grams of 700 cuin duck down filling ensure a comfortable temperature of -1/+5°C (see footnote). The adjustable hood, zipper flap and anti-cold collar make the Quest Bear Junior suitable for 3-season use. The zipper features a double slider for ventilation in warmer weather, or for cuddling!
Toray Airstatic SLF15 fabric is water-repellent, and there's a waterproof insert at the head. Zipped pocket inside.

Additional information |
The European standard EN13537, which assesses the comfort temperature of a sleeping bag, does not apply to children's models. As children are more sensitive to the cold, it's normal for their sleeping bag to have more insulation than an adult model, for the same recommended temperature of use. This takes into account the need for pajamas, and may vary according to the child's age/corpulence/sensitivity. Be vigilant and always allow for a safety margin. Pajak recommends a comfort temperature of -1°C. In our experience, we recommend a temperature of 5°C. |
