Cumulus Shield Mitts

The Shield Mitts from Polish brand Cumulus are double-insulated mittens designed for expeditions and the coldest environments. In size M, the filling is 117 grams of down. This is 850 cuin hydrophobic Polish goose down. For even more warmth, Climashield Apex synthetic insulation is placed in strategic areas. H-shaped compartments prevent cold spots from forming.

These mittens extend high up the forearm and two fastening systems, at the wrist and at the end, prevent snow and wind from getting in. The elastic at the cuff also serves as a strap to secure the mittens when in use.

The 20 denier Pretex Quantum Pro fabric provides good protection against damp conditions. The palm is reinforced with a PU coating that guarantees waterproofing in areas subject to friction from poles or ice axes. The top of the mitten features a microfibre area for wiping masks or sunglasses.

These mittens are quite roomy and designed to fit a pair of gloves inside. A press stud allows you to attach the pair of mittens together.
