Cumulus Neo Quilt 600

The Neo Quilt 600 from Polish brand Cumulus is an ultralight, minimalist sleeping bag designed for winter use. Without a hood and open at the back, it weighs only 770 grams and has a comfort temperature rating of -8°C. It requires the use of a mattress with a high R-value, as this is what will protect you from the cold coming up from the ground.

Such lightness for such good warmth is achieved thanks to the design, but also to the careful choice of materials. The fabric is 7-denier Toray Airstastic with DWR treatment. The 450 grams of 900 cuin goose down are distributed in 39 compartments with H-shaped partitions, so the filling stays in place.

The ideal solution for hikers who prefer ultra-lightweight gear even in cold weather, this quilt is closed at the feet. The shark fin footbox keeps your feet in a natural position and eliminates air pockets as much as possible.

Two elastic straps with buckles allow you to attach the quilt to the mattress (compatible with widths from 50 to 60 centimetres). These straps are adjustable so you can tighten them according to the temperature and stay warm without draughts. At the neck, a press stud and elastic reduce heat loss.

Compared to a traditional sleeping bag, a quilt offers more space, whether you sleep on your side, on your back or with your knees bent. And the weight-to-warmth ratio is better because the down is not compressed.
