Sierra Designs Convert 3

The Sierra Designs Convert 3 is a convertible tent. It comes with a removable vestibule providing an additional 1.82m² of storage space.

In good weather in 3 season mode, the tent can be used without the detachable vestibule, keeping only the vestibule and thus becoming lighter. There is no external door as a replacement, but the overhang of the rain fly with its spout and the 1200mm siliconized ripstop nylon inner door protect the interior from minor weather conditions. To ensure sufficient ventilation in the summer to avoid condensation, the bedroom doors are made of a double screen/full fabric door. For hot and dry climates, it is possible to mount only the chamber.

For winter use, or in more difficult weather conditions, the addition of the vestibule provides more space for shelter, storage, cooking... This has a snow skirt and the tent structure has 4 poles for winter use. It is not an expedition tent, but it is sufficient for small winter bivouacs. The chamber is made of solid fabric to prevent cold draughts.

The La Convert 3 tent has a generous volume of 175cm in width, with a height of 114cm. The tunnel shape with three parallel poles ensures that the entire tent is kept high. It is colour coded on the poles to make setup easier.
