The Venus II UL from Exped is an ultra-lightweight tent for 2 people and 3 season use in temperate climates. Its hybrid shape between a tunnel and a dome offers great habitability. It is also almost self-supporting (only 2 pegs are needed to tighten the tent).
With 2 entrances and 2 apses, it will be easy to store equipment and to organize yourself inside the tent, everyone will be able to have his own side. Quick and easy to set up, each pole is marked with a marker that can be found on the tent. To maximise comfort inside, the tent is colour coded to ensure that it is pitched in the correct direction in relation to the prevailing wind.
The UL rain fly fabric is made from 15 denier siliconized nylon. This makes it very light but wind, rain and UV resistant.
The flysheet can be used as a tarp on its own. The chamber can also be set up on its own. When the weather is good, you can enjoy the stars while being protected by the mosquito net.
Ventilation is provided by two small windows on the flysheet, the outer doors and the inner mesh fabric.
