Liteway Illusion Duo Tent

The Illusion Duo Tent from Ukrainian brand Liteway is an ultra-light shelter. It's somewhere between a tent and a tarp. This shelter is single-walled on 2 sides, with a mesh ventilation strip on the lower section and double-walled on the door side. It offers the minimalism of a tarp, with full mosquito net protection just like a tent.

The 2 person Illusion Duo Tent has two large external doors, each 55 centimetres wide, forming an apse, mesh internal doors and two top ventilation windows. It's perfectly ventilated and ideal for summer use. It can be assembled quickly with 1 x 130 cm trekking pole or 2 trekking poles. For assembly with 2 poles, you need an A-Frame connector (not supplied) to reach 155 centimetres.

A minimum of six sardines (not supplied) and guy ropes complete the assembly. Unlike other similar models, the poles pass through the inside of the chamber, allowing the mesh wall to be spread apart to create more volume inside. The guy ropes at the front and rear also allow the fabric to be stretched outwards.

It's made from silpoly, a 20-denier silicone-coated polyester with a waterproof rating of 2000 millimetres. It's a tough, durable fabric that won't stretch with humidity. The tip of the hiking pole's pommel is reinforced with X-Pac. The flysheet zip is water-repellent and has a locking clip at the bottom. Mesh storage pockets are located high up in the tent.

The storage bag is waterproof and can be rolled up for a very small storage volume.
