HydroBlu Sidekick 3-stage Straw Water Filter

The Sidekick 3-stage Straw Water Filter from American brand HydroBlu makes it easy to drink healthy water on your trek or long journey. Ultralight and compact, it weighs just 28g.

It offers three advantages:

• The cotton pre-filtration membrane blocks out coarse sediment, which also increases the longevity of your filter straw.


• The activated carbon filter absorbs and protects you from harmful chemicals and heavy metals. It also eliminates lead, iron, cadmium, nickel, chromium and zinc, as well as chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, petrol and diesel fuel.


• The hollow fibre, made up of tubes with microscopic holes (0.1 microns) eliminates 99.999% of bacteria such as Giardia, E. coli and Cryptosporidium, while allowing the water to drain away so you can drink.

Once the cotton pre-filter and activated carbon filters have reached their 180-litre lifespan, they can be replaced with the extra nozzle included.
